A documentary about former N.C. State University basketball coach Jim Valvano will be screened tonight at Reynolds Coliseum.

The film highlights Valvano during his 1982-83 season and the team's remarkable NCAA championship win. It's part of ESPN Film's "30 for 30" series and is called "Survive and Advance."

Dereck Whittenburg, a member of the '83 NCAA championship team, will be at the screening. Ernie Myers, Cozell McQueen, Mike Warren, Walt Densmore and Tommy Dinardo are also expected to attend.

The air date for the documentary is Sunday at 9 p.m. on ESPN.

The Wolfpack won the NCAA title in dramatic fashion against Houston when Whittenburg heaved up a long, desperation shot and Lorenzo Charles grabbed it and dunked it in for the win.
