A man is recovering at a Tennessee hospital Monday after being shot by a North Carolina State Trooper.
Around eight o'clock in the morning Monday in Cherokee County, near the Tennessee border, Trooper H-S Robertson responded to a call about a suspicious man in a parked car alongside U.S. Highway 64.
When Robinson approached the car, he claims the man charged him. The Trooper then fired his weapon. Robinson is claiming self-defense.
The man is recovering at the hospital, Robertson suffered minor injuries and both are expected to be okay. The State Bureau of Investigation is looking into the incident.
