The Republican representative from Pitt County is demanding an explanation for the release of detained, illegal immigrants by the Department of Homeland Security.
Officers from Immigration and Customs Enforcement detention centers released two-thousand immigrants last week.
They call it a response to sequestration.
Jones and 36 other Republican colleagues wrote Homeland Security demanding answers for who made this quote "irresponsible decision" and if there were future plans to release more inmates.
