A woman from the east is facing charges for an accident involving an Onslow County Deputy.
It happened around 7 p.m. Tuesday along on Highway 53, near Blue Creek School Road.
Troopers tell us Deputy Gilbert Delarosa was traveling eastbound down 53. 21-year-old Sarah Gillespie turned left, going toward Sherwood Mobile Home Park, in the deputy's path.
Deputy Delarosa's cruiser hit the back right side of Gillespie's car then went left of center, ending up in a ditch.
