UPDATE: TV thief identified, wanted

Posted: Updated:
GREENVILLE, N.C. -

Greenville Police have identified a man caught on surveillance stealing from Sears.

Detectives say 34-year-old Dennis K. Whitley, of Kinston, is a repeat offender with outstanding arrest warrants in Greenville, Jacksonville and Goldsboro.

Most recently, Whitley is accused of stealing from the Sears on S. Memorial Drive in Greenville on four separate occasions. On Sunday, he entered the store and took a 40" Samsung flat-screen television.

After stealing the TV, he fled from the store in a new model, white GMC Sierra pickup truck, driven by an unknown female. Police now say he is not in possession of that truck anymore.

Police say Whitley is about 5'9" with strawberry-blonde hair and a goatee beard. He has tattoos on both arms.
