Jennifer Norris
served in the Air Force for 14 years, but says within the first two she was
sexually assaulted 4 times.
Norris isn't alone, as many as 19,000 sexual
assaults happen in the military each year, but most are not reported. Victims
told their stories to lawmakers Tuesday.
Victims described their fears about
coming forward and testified about widespread sexual misconduct of all types.
The Senate panel is looking for ways to
change the law to help victims get justice and stop assaults from happening in
the first place.
Lawmakers grilled military personnel.
Norris started a support group to help
other victims.
