A Carteret County woman is facing rape charges for an incident involving a teenager.
Deputies arrested 43-year-old Michelle Yvonne Currie, of Newport, Thursday. She's accused of engaging in a sex offense with a 15-year-old boy she knows.
Currie was charged with one count of Statutory Rape. She's in the Carteret County Jail under a $150,000 bond.
Currie will make her first court appearance Friday.
