Dozens of people gather in Princeville to walk in honor of a murdered couple. They came together at the former home of Jasmine Chesson and Quantellis Carr, then walked to the couple's grave site. More than 100 people took part. Mourners lit candles and released balloons in their memory.
"Today we come to celebrate them. We come to celebrate their lives. We didn't come to mourn their deaths. We come together to celebrate their memories and we are going to make sure their. memory lives on. " Rev. Claude Carr Jr. said. "You took them from us, but you can never take those memories away. I can smile about them because I can see them smiling at me." Chemere Carr said. Chesson and Carr were killed a year ago today. The couple had 5 children.
