Posted: Updated:
GREENVILLE, N.C. -

Over the next few weeks, you'll see officers out in full force to crack down on traffic violations.

Greenville Police tell 9 On Your Side, they've started a "traffic safety initiative" to cut down on the number of car crashes in the city.

They are collecting data to show us where the most accidents happen and find out how they can stop it.

In the next few weeks, officers will be looking for speeders, distracted driving, and red light violators.
