TRENTON, N.C. -
People who live near Trenton, Pollocksville or Maysville will be able to safely dispose of their unwanted medications.
Law enforcement in Jones County is sponsoring three locations to safely get rid of expired, unused or unwanted prescription drugs. Medications can be brought to REALO Drugs in Trenton & Pollocksville or to the Maysville Town Hall on March 24th between 10am and 2pm.
There are no questions asked from police, and the service is free and anonymous. Organizers look to prevent accidental poisonings, substance abuse and protect local water by safely disposing of the drugs.
Several other medicine drops are scheduled across the east this weekend.
