The Blackjack Fire Department and Simpson Fire Department
responded to a barn fire Tuesday afternoon.
It happened around 2:30pm at a home on Blackjack-Simpson Rd.
The home owners says they were burning debris along a ditch in their yard
when the fire grew out of control, and before they knew it the barn had caught
fire.
They say the barn is 100 years old.
Firefighters were able to put the fire out but the barn is
destroyed.
