A 19-year-old Shaw University student is facing charges after shooting a teen near campus Thursday morning.
Police say an altercation took place between Darrin Baker and Antonio Quinones near 800 S. Person Street in downtown Raleigh.
Quinones, 18, was shot in the leg and transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The shooter, Darrin Baker, left the gun at the scene and ran onto Shaw's campus, according to officials.
Baker, 19, was apprehended, arrested and has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon with the intent to kill and discharging a firearm in the city limits.
He is being held at the Wake County Jail under $75,000 bond.
