Greensboro billboard is marketing stunt

Posted: Updated:
GREENSBORO, N.C. -

It turns out that the Greensboro revenge billboard is a marketing stunt.

A billboard on a main thoroughfare in Greensboro has been attracting a lot of attention.

The sign on Battleground Avenue reads: "Michael — GPS Tracker — $250, Nikon Camera with zoom lens — $1600, Catching my LYING HUSBAND and buying this billboard with our investment account – Priceless. Tell Jessica you're moving in! – Jennifer."

The News & Record of Greensboro called the company that owns the billboard, Outdoor Signage, to find out if the sign is real.

Outdoor signage referred questions to Marty Kotis, of Kotis Properties, who said that he's happy the sign has attracted so much attention.

A second message appeared Thursday on the same billboard saying, "Jessica- Meet me at YoDaddy's at 7:00p.m. for some wine therapy –Jennifer."

YoDaddy is referring to the dessert bar owned by the same company who owns the billboard.

According to the News & Record of Greensboro, Kotis says that the saga may continue, but, "that depends on how much attention it gets."
