A Blounts Creek woman is accused of trying to burn down her home.
The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office says they charged 30-year-old Mary Candice Walker with one count of Second Degree Arson.
Deputies say it all started March 23 around 7:30 p.m. at home on Main Street Extension in Edward. The Aurora Volunteer Fire Department responded, extinguished the fire, and cleared the scene. At 9 p.m. they returned because the house was on fire again.
An investigation was started and showed Walker's involvement in the fire at the home.
She was placed under a $20,000 secured bond.
Walker was a resident of the Edward home at the time of the fire.
