Greenville Police have identified the driver in the hit and run incident at the Drew Steele Center. He is identified as 21-year-old Chavez Spencer of Englehard. Spencer will be charged with both Hit and Run with property damage and safe movement violation.
Police say Spencer drove his car through a fence and into another car. He had left the scene when police arrived.
Greenville Police are looking into a hit and run crash at the Drew Steele Recreation Center.
Monday afternoon the driver of a black 4-door car backed through a fence and into another car. Police then say the suspect and his car left before they arrived.
The crash was recorded on video, and a witness took a picture of the suspect's damaged car before he drove off.
The surveillance video shows the suspect coming into the center before he left. If you can identify the driver, call Greenville Police at 252-329-4315
