GREENVILLE, N.C. -

Animal Control officers are investigating a dog bite incident that reportedly happened at the Off-Leash Dog Park in Greenville. Officers say the bite happened on March 16th when two dogs got into a fight. The dog bite victim was attempting to separate the dogs when her finger was bitten. The owner of the other dog retrieved his pet and left the park.

Animal control wants to contact the owner to make sure the other dog has all of its rabies shots. No charges are being filled, but animal control wants to complete their investigation. They don't think any crime has occurred, but they want the owner to contact animal control.

If you recognize the owner in the photos from the park's security cameras, ask them to contact Officer Tim Langley at 252-329-4388
