GREENVILLE, N.C. -

Two musicians from our state are helping raise money for military families with their new song.

Pam Saulsby, an anchor at our sister station NBC 17 in Raleigh, has partnered with hip-hop artist Chris Harlan on a special military project.

Their new song "Guardian Soldier" was recently released and a portion of proceeds helps support the Fisher House on Fort Bragg. It's a home away from home for military families while their loved ones are treated at Womack Army Medical Center.

Pam and Chris joined 9 On Your Side Morning Edition to talk about what inspired them to write this song. You can check out that interview in the above video.
