Greenville charities to benefit from 2nd annual Parade of Bonnets

Posted: Updated:

One neighborhood in the east came together for a little Easter fun.

It's all a part of the 2nd annual Parade of Bonnets.

Friends and neighbors in the Lynndale neighborhood of Greenville tell 9 On Your Side that they aim to go over the top with their Easter bonents. They also ask folks to bring Easter baskets or items to go into baskets.

They plan to deliver the baskets to two separate charities, The Ronald McDonald House and Gifts of Grace on Saturday.

They named 3 winners in this year's competition:

Prettiest:  Courtney Kobe, wife of ECU's long-time swim coach.

Overall: Terry Mills

Most Creative:  Scott Buck, owner of Emerald City Florist in Greenville.

Debi Goulding and Jill Brown hosted the event.
