Posted: Updated:
GREENVILLE, N.C. -

Three Cherry Point Marines facing charges in a drive-by shooting are expected in court Thursday.

Police say David Lorevil, Dominix Fonzie, and Johnny Tidwell got into a fight with 2 people at Phoenix Nightclub in Greenville earlier this month.

They're accused of following the two home and cornering them at a nearby intersection. That's when police say Lorevil fired several rounds at the other car, hitting one man in the leg. That man should be okay.

Police charged Lorevil with several crimes, including attempted first degree murder.

The other two Marines are facing conspiracy charges.

Three Cherry Point marines are behind bars facing charges in an attempted murder investigation.

Greenville police arrested 20-year-old Dominix Fonzie, and 21-year-olds David Lorevil and Johnny Tidwell.

Police say around 2:15a.m. Saturday March 23rd, they responded to Vidant Medical Center for a shooting victim. Investigators say doctors were treating 19-year-old Victor Barrett for a gunshot wound to the leg. He was there with a woman he was riding in the car with when it happened, 18-year-old Timeeka Tyson. Police say Tyson told them a group of people shot at her car when she was blocked in by another car on Forbes Street. Police say the three marines were in that other car, and they had been fighting with the victims at the Pheonix nightclub and followed them there. Police say Lorevil fired several rounds at their car with a .45 caliber handgun.

Cherry Point base officials confirm they are active-duty marines.

David Lorevil is charged with Attempted First Degree Murder, Assault with a Deadly Weapon With Intent to Kill  Inflicting Serious Injury, Felony Conspiracy, Firing into an Occupied Vehicle, and Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill. He's in jail under a $500,000 bond.

Tidwell and Fonzie are both charged with felony conspiracy to commit the above listed crimes. Tidwell is in jail under a $350,000 bond.
