UPDATE: Biker hit, killed in Jones County

--UPDATE--

Troopers tell us an accident that shut down Highway 41 Tuesday night in Trenton was fatal. 

Trooper S.C. Heath with the Highway Patrol tells 9 On Your Side 46-year-old Russell Travis Powell of Trenton was biking on Highway 41 East when two cars, both traveling in the same direction, hit him.  The impact killed him. 

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.  The drivers of the cars will not be charged.

Troopers responded to a call of a pedestrian getting hit by a car Tuesday night.

Dispatchers say the call came in around 9:00 on Highway 41 near Henderson Road in Trenton in Jones County.  Several other units from Trenton, including Trenton EMS and Trenton Fire and Rescue responded to the call. 

At this time, there's no word of any serious injuries.
