GREENVILLE, N.C. -

Burning leaves and trash in Greenville got out of control on Thursday.

And dry weather helped fuel the fire.

Both Belvoir and Staton House Fire Departments responded.

It happened off Old River Road near the Greenville airport.

People nearby reported it had gotten out of control. And the fire moved into some woods behind a neighborhood.

The U.S. Forestry Service helped handle the situation and said no homes were in  any danger.
