MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) - A Socastee man was arrested over the weekend after trying to run his wife off the road with three children inside the car, police said.
According to an Horry County police report, Thomas Dudak, 33, was arrested around 3 a.m. Saturday after a chase with police.
Dudak's wife told police she was heading home from work after picking up her children from the babysitter's when Dudak tried to run her off the road on SC 31.
The victim told police her three children, ages 4, 5, and 6, were in the back seat when Dudak tried to run her off the road several times.
She called 911 and police caught up to Dudak on SC 707. Dudak refused to stop and lead police on a chase reaching speeds of over 80 mph, police said.
Dudak finally stopped his vehicle at his home on St. Peters Church Road and was shot by police with a taser during a short foot chase, the report said.
Dudak is charged with criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature, child abuse, failure to stop for a blue light, and resisting arrest.
He currently is being held at the J Reuben Long Detention Center under a $7,500 bond.
