Police search for Creedmoor robbery suspects

CREEDMOOR, N.C. -

An armed robbery at a sweepstakes café in Creedmoor left one man injured and another arrested.

Police responded about 8:40 p.m. to Internet Sweepstakes Café on the 2500 block of Capital Drive. Upon arrival, officers found a 24-year-old store clerk shot in the shoulder. The clerk was transported to Duke Hospital where he was treated and released.

Butner authorities said the suspects left the scene in a gold sedan.

Members of the Creedmoor Police Department saw the suspect vehicle on Highway 15 where the occupants of the vehicle ran into nearby woods.

Brandon Jamal Sharpe, 22, of Durham, was arrested and charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury. 

Sharpe was placed in the Granville County Jail under a $100,000 bond.

Police are still searching for at least two other suspects. Police did not release any information about the remaining suspects.
