RALEIGH, N.C. -

52 new jobs are on the way to Beaufort County.

Governor Pat McCrory and N.C. Commerce Secretary Sharon Decker made the announcement today that ProNamic Industries will locate it's operations in the county. The company is a non-woven media manufacturer.

"ProNamic Industries is a great fit for North Carolina and Beaufort County," said Governor McCrory.  "We're focusing on recruiting companies and growing jobs in key economic sectors so our state has what it takes for businesses to succeed, and advanced manufacturing is high on that list."

The business is a raw material provider to the filtration industry. It also provides media solutions to the air filtration industry. ProNamic Industries expects to acquire a facility in the Beaufort County Industrial Park.

"North Carolina has the highly skilled workforce that companies need to be competitive in a global economy," said Sharon Decker, N.C. Secretary of Commerce. "ProNamic Industries' decision to locate in Beaufort County will provide employment opportunities for an area that was hit hard by the recession."

Salaries will vary by job function, but the average annual salary for the new jobs will be $31,192, plus benefits.
