'Roll Pack' T-shirts raise $3,300 for NCSU organization

RALEIGH, N.C. -

The sale of "Roll Pack" T-shirts raised more than $3,300 for a N.C. State organization that helps people with disabilities, according to Wolfpack student Will Privette and student body president Andy Walsh.

Privette and Walsh visited WNCN Friday to share the news with WNCN anchor Penn Holderness.

N.C. State beat Duke, then the No. 1 team in college basketball, 84-76 on Jan. 12.  Privette rushed the court in his wheel chair. In all the excitement on the court, Privette was knocked out of his chair and State player C.J. Leslie picked him up and proceeded to celebrate with Privette in his arms.

The "Roll Pack" T-shirts appeared shortly after that and the video of Privette rushing the court went viral. Leslie and Privette appeared together on NBC's "Today" show.

The proceeds from the shirt sales will go to help We Connect Now, a student-run organization that "strives to unite and empower students interested in the rights and issues affecting people with disabilities," according to the group.

Walsh, who helped push Will onto the court, does not know exactly how We Connect Now will use the money, but knows the proceeds will benefit their events and programming on campus.
