Posted: Updated:

Durham police are looking for a van that hit two people walking on the edge of Angier Avenue Saturday night.

Police say David Waller, 53, and Sylvia Humphrey, 54, were walking west on Angier Avenue near Commonwealth Street when they were hit shortly before 9:00 p.m.

Waller was critically injured when the van hit him and threw him into Humphrey. She was not seriously hurt.

Police say investigators believe the vehicle was a late 1990s or early 2000s dark blue Dodge Caravan. The vehicle should have damage to the right side mirror and window and the front headlight should be missing.

Anyone with information is asked to call  the Traffic Services Unit at (919) 560-4935, ext. 29411 or CrimeStoppers at (919) 683-1200.
