Deputies made an arrest in a armed robbery Monday morning.

It happened Friday night near the Cypress Sands Mobile Home Park.

20-year-old Dontarius Marquise Barrett was charged with Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon. He was also served with an outstanding order for arrest out of Bertie County for first-degree burglary; attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon; larceny after breaking and entering; discharging a weapon; possession of stolen goods; and possession of a weapon of mass destruction.

The Pitt County Sheriff's Office says deputies responded to a report of an armed robbery on Van Ness Avenue, where the victim reported he was robbed at gun point by two males after being flagged down. Those suspects allegedly got into his vehicle, placed a firearm to his head, and demanded money. They took off on foot after taking Wades wallet, which contained $250.

The other suspect is still on the run. There's no word on his identity.
