HCSO: Two 7th grade Dowdell students set off acid bomb

TAMPA, FL (WFLA) -

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office reports that two 7th grade students were arrested after setting off an acid bomb at Dowdell Middle School located on 1208 Wishing Well Way in Tampa.  Authorities say at approximately 9:08 a.m. during class changes a small explosion occurred on a walkway on the east side of the school between two buildings. 

Authorities say that there were no injuries and no property damage.  The school was placed on lock down and as a result of the investigation; two students were taken into custody and charged with Possession/discharge of a weapon on school property and disruption of school function.  The investigation continues.
