DANVILLE, VA (WSLS) -

A Danville mother faces a murder charge in the death of her infant son. Danville Police say a grand jury indicted 21-year-old Michelle Lynn Pruitt, of Danville, on charges of felony murder, as well as child abuse and neglect (2 counts).

Investigators say Pruitt's son, two-month old Alphonza O'Brien Fuller III was found unresponsive on the afternoon of April 19th, at Woodside Village by EMTs.

The Medical Examiner's Office later determined the child died due to blunt force trauma.

Pruitt is being held at the Danville City Jail without bond.
