Suspects arrested in Kinston SUV theft

KINSTON, N.C. -

Police have arrested a man who they say stole a Ford SUV from a driveway in Kinston.

It happened April 30 at a home on Greenbrier Road. Hours later the van turned up 3 miles away near a "Lunch Box" gas station.
     
Surveillance video caught three suspects on camera.

On Thursday, May 2, 2013 Kinston Police arrested Jaquan Marchel Koonce for the April 30, 2013 theft of a 2003 Ford Expedition. 

A tip came from a person who recognized the suspect from surveillance footage aired by the media.  Koonce was arrested at around 8:00 PM in the area of McAdoo St. in Kinston.  He is charged with Larceny of a Motor Vehicle, Resist Obstruct & Delay, Possession of Marijuana and possession of paraphernalia. 

He was placed in the Lenoir County Jail under a secured bond.
