MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) -

A man being arrested for disorderly conduct in Myrtle Beach quickly added another charge after he spit into the mouth and eyes of a police officer Thursday evening, a report said.

According to a Myrtle Beach police report, Michael Goettsch, 31, of Summerville was being arrested and put in the back of a police cruiser when he spit on two of the arresting officers.

Goettsch's saliva got inside one of the officer's mouth and eyes and on the other officer's hand and arm, the report said.

Goettsch then screamed at the officer, "I've got AIDS too (Expletive)," according to the report.

The incident happened around 6:30 p.m. in a hotel parking lot at 1001 South Ocean Boulevard.

Police said Goettsch was screaming, kicking and cursing at the officers and was taken to the city jail.

Goettsch is charged with disorderly conduct and throwing bodily fluids.

The officers were taken to a hospital for treatment.
