Traditional Macaroni and Cheese 1 (16 ounce) box elbow macaroni, cooked ½ pound Velveeta¼ cup flour 3 tablespoons butter 1 cup mozzarella cheese 1 teaspoon salt ¼ teaspoon pepper paprika ½ teaspoon dry mustard 2½ cups milk 2 cups cheddar cheese ham (optional)
In a large saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Stir in flour, salt, mustard, and pepper until smooth; remove from heat. Slowly stir in milk until smooth. Stir constantly 10 minutes on heat until thick; take off heat. Stir in 1½ cups cheddar cheese, Velveeta cheese, and mozzarella cheese until melted. Put cooked macaroni in a greased casserole dish; pour cheese mixture over and mix well. Sprinkle paprika and leftover cheese on top. Bake at 375Â¢Âª 20 minutes. Ham (chunked) can be added to make this a main dish. Recipe can be reduced to half.
