Pilot dies in Madrid air show accident

MADRID, SPAIN -

A pilot died Sunday when his plane crashed into a hangar and exploded during an air show in Madrid.

Spanish media sites identified the 34-year-old pilot as Ladislao T.R., a commander who took
part in operations in Libya.

T.R. was flying a vintage 1950s HA-200 Saeta at an aerial acrobatics show at Cuatrovientos airfield when he lost control. The plane went into a nosedive, slammed into a hanger and exploded.

Witnesses said the aircraft hitting power lines before falling out of the sky.
