When you go over to Elm Street Park this weekend you may notice something a little different about the setting. The bases, the shirts and the wristbands are all pink for cancer awareness and money has been pouring in for support.
The Greenville Little League has already raised somewhere around $2,500. They've sold over 300 shirts and between 400-500 wristbands. On top of that they've added a significant amount from admission fees, you can pay for a seat at Stallings Stadium and receive a commemorative ticket.
All the proceeds go to the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals and Commissioner Brian Weingartz says its just they're way of giving back.
"I lost my father to cancer 35 years ago so it touches home a little bit with me," says Weingartz. "It's just our way of trying to give back to Greenville, which is a community which has really given a lot to our little league program over the last 60 some odd years."
