A child was hit by a vehicle on Kaplan Drive in Raleigh Saturday afternoon.
Authorities said 9-year-old Richard Doyle was hit around 3 p.m. on the 5200 block of Kaplan Drive in southwest Raleigh.
Raleigh police said Joann Norwood, of Kaplan Drive in Raleigh, was backing out of her driveway when she struck Doyle. The accident report released by Raleigh police says she could not see Doyle.
The child was taken to WakeMed for treatment of his injuries.
