Greenville Police asking for help in unsolved murder

Posted: Updated:

More than a year after it happened, Greenville Police are asking the public for help with an unsolved murder.

On May 12, 2012 a relative found the body of 57-year-old David Knox at his home on Douglas Avenue. Police say he died from multiple stab wounds.

Two days later investigators found Knox's car in the parking lot of Arlington Village Shopping Center.

Detectives have developed several leads and the case is still actively being worked. But, since it's been a year without answers they're pushing for more information from the public.

Anyone who may have tips about possible suspects should call the Greenville Police Department's Major Crimes Unit at 252-329-4153. Pitt-Greenville CrimeStoppers is also offering a reward for any information that leads to an arrest. That number is 252-758-7777.
