Two women led police on a high-speed chase in a stolen car and end up behind bars.
Jacksonville Police arrested 31-year-old Naomi Titus and 25-year-old Cristina Chavez.
Officers responded to a shoplifting call at the Wal-Mart on Yopp Road around 2 o'clock Monday afternoon. They later spotted the suspects' car on Highway 17 near NC 24 and tried to pull it over when the driver took off.
Officerss said a high-speed chase followed with Titus doing a U-turn across the highway to avoid stop sticks. Onslow County deputies eventually helped stop the car.
The women are now facing a list of charges including larceny, drug charges and felony speeding to elude arrest.
Authorities are expected to release the results of autopsies on the two bodies recovered from the fiery crash that killed "Fast & Furious" actor Paul Walker and his friend.
