A Camp Lejeune Marine is in custody after deputies arrested him in Duplin County.
Officials said he threatened his wife and a fellow Marine.
Duplin County Sheriff Blake Wallace said Lance Corporal Kenneth Austin of the Second Marine Division crashed his Ford Focus in a ditch near Highway 117.
Wallace put his deputies on alert around 5 Thursday morning when Camp Lejeune officials told them an armed and dangerous Marine could be headed their way.
Lejeune officials said Austin is now in custody of his unit.
