JACKSONVILLE, N.C. -

Onslow County deputies say they have the man who robbed a bank in Sneads Ferry Thursday afternoon.

Sheriff Ed Brown made the announcement Thursday evening.

Investigators say just before 1:00pm the man identified as David Sharlow walked into the First Citizens bank, handed the teller a note demanding money and left with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Deputies with the Onslow County Sheriff's Office had surveillance photos out to news outlets within the hour, and say that helped them locate the suspect.

Investigators with the Onslow County Sheriff's Office say with the help of several agencies, including North Topsail Police, Holly Ridge Police, Surf City Police and Onslow County Dispatchers, they were able to locate Sharlow in a hotel room in Surf City.

He's in jail.

No one was injured in the robbery.
