HAVELOCK, N.C. -

A woman who led police on a chase in Havelock had her probation case continued.

A baliff tells 9 On Your Side that it happened because her lawyer was unable to be in court on Thursday.

Sarah Nicole Kronenberg's court date was moved to June.

On Wednesday around 9:30 a.m. police spotted a blue SUV operated by Kronenberg cross the center line on Belltow Road in Havelock while she was talking on her cell phone.

When the officer attempted to pull her over, she attempted to get away speeding and running stop signs in a nearby housing complex. He later caught up with Kronenberg on U.S. 70 where another officer also joined the pursuit.

Kronenberg then made a left hand turn, crossed the median and ran into the Mr. Carpet store near the intersection of U.S. 70 and Dogwood St.

"I was sitting in the office out of the computer, and I heard a big explosion, sounded like," said Ryan Grover, a technician at a mechanic shop next to Mr. Carpet.

Kronenberg was taken to Carolina East Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Kronenberg was charged with DWI, Failure to stop for Blue Light and Siren, Damage to property, and Resist Obstruct and Delay a law enforcement officer. Further charges may be pending.

She already had a prior DWI conviction.
