The Washington Police Department is asking for the public's help in finding a man they say is connected to a shooting Monday.

Police say they were called to H&K Mart on Carolina Avenue Monday afternoon in response to shots fired. Police say Hopkins left the scene before they got there and weren't able to find him.

Hopkins is facing charges for assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and possession of firearm by a felon.

No one was injured during the shooting, but a car and freezer were damaged.

If you have any information about Hopkins' whereabouts, you are asked to call the Washington Police Department.
