RALEIGH, N.C. -

Tarran Senay and Trea Turner homered, and North Carolina State pulled away to beat Binghamton 4-1 Friday night in the teams' opening game of the NCAA tournament.

Logan Ratledge drove in a late insurance run for the top-seeded Wolfpack (45-14). They will face third-seeded William & Mary in the championship bracket after fourth-seeded Binghamton (30-24) plays second-seeded Mississippi in an elimination game.

Senay's two-run shot to right-center off Jack Rogalla (5-5) came in the first. Turner led off the sixth with a drive to left off Rogalla that put N.C. State up 3-1.

Ratledge made it a three-run game an inning later, chasing Rogalla with an RBI single.

Zach Blanden had three hits for the Bearcats. Their only run came when John Howell's double play groundout in the second scored Shaun McGraw, making it 2-1.

Josh Easley (6-2) struck out four in 4 1-3 scoreless innings of relief for the Wolfpack.
