Conley Wins State 3A Softball Championship

RALEIGH, N.C. -

Danielle Nadeau had three hits and three runs batted in to lead DH Conley to a 12-7 victory over Jay Robinson in the third and deciding game of the 3A State Softball Championship series.

Nadeau was named as the tournament's MVP.

Conley jumped out to a quick 4-0 lead. Robinson rallied to tie it with four of their own in the second inning. Conley scored five in the third and never looked back from there.

           Rikki Oeters also had three hits for Conley, including a triple, and knocked in three runs for the winners.

        The Vikings win their second state title in softball in three years. Conley also was the 3A state champion in 2011.
