Pinetops sex offender arrested, charged with five counts of child abuse

GREENVILLE, N.C. -

Deputies arrested a registered sex offender for sexually abusing a child Monday.

31-Year-old Quentin Hines of Pinetops is charged with two counts of indecent liberties with a child and two counts of first degree sex offense with a child.

Investigators say he's been on the sex offender registry for some time.

Shortly after being arrested, Washington Police also charged Hines was another count of indecent liberties with a child in reference to case they were investigating.

Hines is in jail with bail set at $525,000.
