Newport man accused of stealing from neighbors, selling on Craigslist

BEAUFORT, N.C. -

There are more charges against a man accused of stealing from his neighbors and then selling the items on Craigslist.

Deputies with the Carteret County Sheriff's Office served additional B&E warrants on 21-year-old Craig Michael Ethier of Newport on Saturday.

Ethier is accused of breaking into neighbor's cars, homes, sheds and garages. Detectives said he has a history of B & E's and was released from prison in November of 2012 after serving a two year sentence.

He's facing seven counts of B & E vehicles, three counts of residential B & E's, one count of burglary, one count of larceny of a firearm, thirteen counts each of larceny and possession of stolen goods, and one count of obtaining property by false pretenses.

Ethier is in the Carteret County Jail under a $50,000 bond. More charges are pending.
