GREENVILLE, N.C. - Greenville Police arrested a woman Wednesday afternoon in connection with an unsolved homicide.

26-year-old Colby Harding is accused of outstanding conspiracy to commit armed robbery with a dangerous weapon charges stemming from a homicide last year. She’s being held on a $50,000 secured bond.

Police say Harding actually called 911 in June 2013 when 47-year-old Geoffrey Kenan was found dead in his Mosely Drive apartment.

They aren't releasing any more details at this time but say more arrests are expected.

The Greenville Police Department is calling the death of wheelchair bound man a homicide.

On Tuesday, police responded to a call about suspicious activity at an apartment on Mosely Drive. When they arrived at the apartment complex, they looked inside one of the apartments where they found the dead body of Geoffrey Kenan.

"I'm so shocked. I'm beyond shocked. I don't think there is a word to say how shocked I am. I really can't believe it happened to him," said Kenan's friend, Curtis Speller.

Friends say the 47-year-old lived alone in his apartment, but had caregivers who came by to help him daily.

One of those caregivers, Brenda Staton, said Kenan called her last night to tell her not to come by because he had a visitor. Staton said that happened before, because he had a lot of friends; especially, his Omega Psi Phi fraternity brothers.

As the news spread about Kenan's death; his fraternity brothers, friends, and neighbors gathered outside of his apartment to comfort each other.

Curtis Speller says his friendship with Kenan began when they started a mentoring business together. Speller says though Kenan was in a wheelchair he never let his disability define him.

"Even though he was in a wheelchair he respected it. He didn't complain about it, he didn't argue about it. He'd done more in a wheelchair than I'd seen a man do with two legs," said Speller.

Kenan's friends said they don't understand why anyone would want to hurt their friend.

"I hope and pray if this was something that shouldn't have happened to him, I hope they find who it was; because he didn't' deserve that at all. He was just a happy man," said Staton.

Friends say Kenan just celebrated his 47th birthday with his family.

Police say the investigation is still ongoing.
