Lejeune High graduation to be shown overseas

Posted: Updated:
Troops stationed overseas will be able to watch the Lejeune High School graduation ceremony via a live-feed.
88 students from Lejeune High School are slated to graduate during a ceremony beginning at 5 p.m. Thursday at the Base Theater aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune.
This year's class earned 40 scholarships amounting to $227,000.  49 percent of the students obtained a cumulative grade point average greater than 3.0.
"This year's senior class is full of constructive leadership! Students in this class show the rest of the student body what it means to take care of one another," said Eric Steimel, Lejeune High School principal. "With this year's seniors, we have enjoyed a very warm and close knit atmosphere with our student body. I will definitely miss them."
The graduation ceremony will be recorded and sent via live-feed to the students' parents who are currently deployed.
