Prevent Child Abuse North Carolina names new president, CEO

Prevent Child Abuse North Carolina (PCANC) announced its Board of Directors unanimously selected Bud Lavery as the next President and CEO. Lavery currently serves as executive director of Communities in Schools of Durham and will succeed Rosie Allen Ryan on July 29, 2013. Ryan has been president and CEO of PCANC since 2008.

"After a comprehensive search, the board is pleased to have found the best person to assume leadership of this innovative and forward-thinking organization," said Michael Olander, PCANC board chair and president of Apple Gold Group in a release. "Bud is a collaborative and supportive leader who is not afraid to ask difficult questions. This combined with his deep knowledge and experience with prevention programs makes him uniquely qualified to lead PCANC successfully into the future."
