ATCHISON, K.S. -

If you believe the end of the world is near, you might as well live it out in luxury.  An old cave, once used as a government storage unit will soon be the world's largest Doomsday shelter.

California company, Vivos is renovating more than 2 million square feet of underground space.

The Doomsday resort will have room for 5,000 people living in up to 1,500 RV's.

Customers will buy a spot and pay $1,000 per-foot for their vehicle, plus a $1,500 dollar charge per-person to pay for a year's worth of provided food and toiletries.

The complex will include indoor golfing, a bowling alley and a swimming pool complete with other amenities.

Members will be able to visit whenever they like.

It's expected to open in August of 2014.
