Kingsport Dollar General robbed at gunpoint

Kingsport Police are searching for a man who robbed Dollar General at gunpoint Sunday.

It happened around 4:00 Sunday evening, at 5215 Memorial Blvd. A white male, wearing an Army green colored shirt, camouflage print pants, white shoes, a skull mask, and a black baseball cap with a white logo in the center came into the store with a firearm, and demanded the cashier open up the register. Police say the man is believed to be around 5'7 - 5'8 with a stocky build.

Kingsport Police tells News Channel 11 the cashier complied, and backed away from the register. The man took out all the money before exiting the same door he entered. At this time, police are unaware of how much money was stolen. There were two customers, and two employees in the store at the time. No one was injured.

Police will be sending News Channel 11 pictures from the surveillance camera shortly.
